About Hexarelin

Hexarelin (examorelin) is a six-amino-acid peptide closely related to GHRP-6, with a methyl group added to one tryptophan to make it more stable. It was developed in Italy by Mediolanum Farmaceutici.

It’s one of the strongest GH releasers in its family. It also binds CD36 on heart cells, so it gets studied in heart research as much as in GH research.

Hexarelin research so far

Human studies in the 1990s, many from Ezio Ghigo’s group in Turin, found it released more GH than GHRP-6 and that the response faded with weeks of continuous use.

Animal work, including studies by Torsello and colleagues, reported protection of heart tissue in injury models through CD36, an effect that didn’t depend on GH.

Hexarelin mechanism of action

Hexarelin binds GHS-R1a, the ghrelin receptor, in the pituitary and hypothalamus, which triggers a GH pulse. It also raises cortisol and prolactin somewhat, like GHRP-2 and GHRP-6.

Its second target, CD36, is a scavenger receptor on heart and blood vessel cells. Hexarelin’s effects in heart models seem to run through CD36, which makes it useful for separating the two receptor pathways.

How to mix Hexarelin 5mg

The concentration is the 5mg in the vial divided by the water you add:

• 1mL of water: 5mg per mL
• 2mL of water: 2.5mg per mL
• 3mL of water: 1.67mg per mL
