About Khavinson bioregulators

Vladimir Khavinson’s group started with peptide extracts from animal organs in the 1970s, then made short synthetic versions of two to four amino acids. Each one is linked by its developers to a single tissue: Epithalon to the pineal gland, Cardiogen to the heart, Livagen to the liver, Chonluten to the bronchi and stomach.

The proposed mechanism is unusual: these short peptides are said to enter the cell nucleus and bind DNA, changing which genes in that tissue are switched on. Most of the research comes from the one school and appeared in Russian journals.
