B7-33 at a glance

B7-33 is a short synthetic peptide based on the B chain of human relaxin-2. It was designed at the Florey Institute in Melbourne as a smaller, easier-to-make version of relaxin that keeps its anti-fibrotic signaling.

Unlike full relaxin, it’s a single chain, so it doesn’t need the two-chain folding that makes relaxin hard to produce.

What studies report about B7-33

Hossain and colleagues reported in Nature Chemical Biology (2016) that B7-33 reduced fibrosis in mouse models of heart and lung injury.

It’s still at the preclinical stage.

B7-33 mechanism of action

B7-33 activates RXFP1, the relaxin receptor, but in a biased way: it favors the pERK signaling route linked to anti-fibrotic effects over the cAMP route.

That bias is the main reason it’s studied, since it may separate relaxin’s tissue effects from its other actions.

B7-33 6mg COA and lab reports

Three documents sit in the image gallery. The certificate of analysis lists the lot number, sequence, storage temperature and the test results. The HPLC chromatogram is the purity test, and the mass spectrum confirms the molecular weight.

B7-33 6mg reconstitution and storage

Divide 6mg by the volume of water and you have the concentration:

  • 1mL of water: 6mg per mL
  • 2mL of water: 3mg per mL
  • 3mL of water: 2mg per mL

Bring the vial to room temperature, add sterile bacteriostatic water against the glass and swirl gently. It should go clear within a minute or two. Shaking only makes foam.

Dry vials last longest frozen at -20°C. Reconstituted solution goes in the fridge and is best used within four weeks or so.

How many vials of B7-33 6mg to order

Count the total milligrams across every group and time point, and round up. Running out halfway and switching lots adds a variable you didn’t plan for.

B7-33 vs related compounds

In short, B7-33 is a relaxin-2 fragment studied for fibrosis. Here’s how its neighbors differ:

  • BPC-157 is the 15-amino-acid repair peptide with the largest body of rodent research
  • TB-500 is the 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein, studied for cell movement and wound repair
  • KPV is a three-amino-acid alpha-MSH fragment studied for calming inflammation
  • ARA-290 is an 11-amino-acid peptide from erythropoietin that protects tissue without raising red cells
  • GHK-Cu is the copper-binding tripeptide studied for collagen and skin repair

Each covers a different step of repair, from new blood vessels and cell movement to inflammation, fibrosis and matrix rebuilding. All of them are on our BPC-157 and recovery peptides page.

Buying B7-33 6mg from Biotech Peptides

Our catalog is narrow on purpose: research peptides, blends and cosmetic peptide powders. That keeps stock moving, so the vial you order isn’t one that has been sitting on a shelf for a year.

Problems with an order go through the contact page. Include the order number and a photo of anything damaged.
